Update from Executive: August 25, 2020

Dear Congregation,

I hope you all are enjoying the summer.

The Executive team has been busy working on gathering together again. We are turning our focus to Network + and Live Worship. There are two teams working on making this happen: an Opening team and Technology team. The Opening team continues to work toward being able to worship together in our sanctuary. This will be done following all Provincial and City health guidelines and bylaws. We are also working toward the ability to broadcast the service via a form of live stream. Keep in mind that there is much more than Worship to consider when planning to be back in the building.

Please keep the teams and executive in your prayers as these are difficult decisions. We thank-you for your patience as we work through these details.

I am grateful for all the work of our volunteers and staff for putting together our weekly services. Please fill in the survey from the opening team. Your feedback is very important.

Update from Executive: July, 2020

Dear Congregation,

Council and Executive have approved the below Scattered <=> Gathered framework to help guide us through our COVID journey. The document is key to helping us through this transition. It isn't intended to be a timeline, it's a spectrum with 4 different ways of doing things. It will give guardrails to the teams who will work through the details. We currently are in a very fluid situation, this will help to provide a platform to work off of.

We have also empowered two ad-hoc teams. Knowing that part of worshiping in the building will require some technical upgrades. We have empowered a team to look at these needs. The second team is an opening team to look at how to get the congregation safely back into our building. This team will review the provincial guidelines and build a plan from there. Executive will work closely with these teams to make the required decisions for worship and ministries at Immanuel.
