Ride For Refuge

RIDE (or Walk or Freestyle) for Refuge – October 2

Did you know that Micah House has hosted nearly 1000 refugee claimants since it opened its doors in 2006? On any day, up to 15 guests from many different countries make Micah House their first home in Canada as they desperately seek safety from danger, terror and persecution. Did you know that Micah House unfortunately needs to turn away about 30 asylum seekers per month as the house is constantly full?

This year’s Ride for Refuge will include 15 Freestyle fundraising activities. In addition to riding your bike (10/25/or 50 kilometers) or walking (5 kilometers), there are a number of alternative ways to raise money for Micah House. Some of these Freestyle activities include fitness, volunteering, arts and crafts, games, baking, etc. Check out the website to see all the options available.

The ‘Immanuel CRC & Friends’ RIDE team is cycling/walking/freestyling to raise funds for this vital ministry to these very vulnerable people. Please join our team in one of the fundraising activities or through sponsoring a team member.
